Electronic lunches

Dear Parent/Guardian,

ISS Education, your school meal provider, is delighted to introduce the Electronic Meal Pre-Order system which will be implemented in our school on the 4 January 2018.

This is brilliant news as your children will now be able to book their meal of choice at morning registration and when they arrive in the dining hall the meal they have chosen will be available for them.

In addition, should you wish, you can also pre-book your child’s meal, up to six weeks in advance via our website: www.feedinghungryminds.co.uk

To do this you must firstly register an account via the above website and once this has been activated you will be able to pre-order meals.

If you have any queries regarding payments or pre-ordering, please contact the Support Team on 01924 792334 or alternatively you can email them at feedinghungryminds@uk.issworld.com

Since 6 April 2010, the income 'threshold', which forms part of the 'Tax Credit' free school meal eligibility category has been changed to £16,190. Children whose parents receive the following support payments are entitled to receive free school meals:

  • Income Support (IS)
  • Income Based Jobseekers Allowance (IBJSA)
  • An income-related employment and support allowance
  • The Guarantee element of State Pension Credit.
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999; or
  • Child Tax Credit, provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income (as assessed by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs) that as of 6 April 2010 does not exceed £16,190.

Note: From 1 May 2009 where a parent is entitled to Working Tax Credit during the four-week period immediately after their employment ceases, or after they start to work less than 16 hours per week, their children are entitled to free school lunches.
